Hart Boys Volleyball is ready to serve

In a showdown between the Hart High School Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team and the Castaic Coyotes Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team, Hart emerged victorious, sweeping the match 3-0. Despite missing several key starters and only having one captain present, the Hart team dominated the game and won with scores of 25-9 in the first set, 25-14 in the second set and 25-20 in the final set.

“When I know we are playing an easier opponent I tend to give the game to the people who don’t play as much. I try giving them a chance to show me what they got,” said head coach Loy Mueller.

The Hart players rose to the challenge, with their teamwork and cohesion evident throughout the match. Despite having to rely on some of their younger players, the Hart team never lost their momentum, and maintained control of the game from start to finish.

Castaic, on the other hand, struggled to find their footing. Despite playing with intensity and determination, the team struggled to match Hart’s skill level and struggled to keep up with the pace of the game. Their performance in the third set was their strongest, but ultimately it was not enough to turn the tide in their favor.

“I have faith in our team. Nothing holds us back when we want another win in this undefeated season. A lot of us are seniors committed to college and want to end off the season positively so another win is good for us and shows how strong of a team we are,” said Captain Hank Kaufman.

Overall, the match was a strong showing for Hart, who demonstrated their skill and depth as a team. While they may have been missing some key players, the team’s ability to adapt and work together was a staple to their strength and resilience. For Castaic, the loss serves as a reminder of the work that still needs to be done, and the areas where they need to improve if they hope to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

On the other hand it was a good day for Hart. Hart’s JV team also won 3-0, and frosh had their very own rematch and won their first game of the season 2-1 after being on a losing streak for the past seven games.
