The NFL is on route for another great season

The National Football League is off and running as week one has just wrapped up. This 103rd NFL season began on Thursday, September 8 with an electric matchup between two powerhouses. The reigning Super Bowl champs, the Los Angeles Rams, and a budding Buffalo Bills team looking to prove themselves faced off in the league opener. Bills quarterback Josh Allen led his team to a 31-10 victory over the Rams, kicking off a pattern of losses for last year’s best teams.

As the weekend continued, 5 of the 8 teams that went farthest in the 2022 playoffs started 0-1. Only the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and aforementioned Bills were able to break that pattern.

Other storylines developed over the weekend including the incredible 5 touchdown performance from Patrick Mahomes and shocking upset by the Chicago Bears over the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers began the game up 10-0 but were outscored 3-17 in the second half. The rainy Chicago stadium served as no aid to either team and played a part in injuries to a few players on each team.

The season has just begun and there will certainly be more stars to speak about as the weeks run by.
