After a long season of waiting, the Spring 2020 anime list has finally been released by multiple popular anime sites online. The long wait is now over for millions of hardcore anime fans around the world. Running up first is the sequel of the most popular romantic comedy of the era, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, which depicts the story of two top student body representatives who despite having affection for one another, will not confess their love until the other does so first. And to do so, each student devises a series of complicated plans and tactics, similar to war, to force the other side into confessing their love first. 

Another romantic slice of life anime that fans are looking forward to is the third season of Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, also known as My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. The anime follows the story of a young narcissistic and pessimistic high school boy who sees youth as only a farce. But one day, after mocking modern social relationships in his writing, he is forced to join the Volunteer Service Club that helps him understand another side of the world along with growing as an individual overall. 

Last but not least is the famous animation movie developed by a popular anime studio, Kyoto animation, Violet Evergarden. The story of Violet Evergarden, revolves around a young woman who was trained to only be a killing machine during the Great War. However, after an encounter with a young colonel, who carefully nurtures her, she slowly comes to understand human emotions. After the colonel’s death, the protagonist travels on a journey as an Auto Memory Doll, someone who transcribes people’s thoughts and emotions into a letter, to find and understand the meaning of the colonel’s last words: I love you.
