Twirling out of season

With their competitive season being wrapped up, many are wondering what comes next for Hart’s award-winning color guard. The WGI and WGASC hosted competitions that went very well for the team, with the group being awarded first place each time.

Color Guard has an upcoming showcase with the Hart drumline,  May 2. After the showcase , the team will be done for the year. Their end-of-year banquet will be their final send off to their seniors.

“It’s a bittersweet moment… [and] the seniors who have been in the regiment for 4 years all receive a chord for graduation day,” said color guard captain, Vanessa Olea.

With their beloved seniors leaving and taking on the next part of their life, color guard is holding clinics from June 3-8. It’s a great time to get to know people in color guard and those interested in auditioning. Attendees will  learn the basics of flags and their dances.
