Midnight Call

This is a poem about someone crushing on another person but they don’t know what the other person thinks. This ties into the perspective theme since you never know somebody else’s perspective.

Midnight calls

Lying on my belly

Kicking my feet in the air

A smile itching at my teeth

Oh, how no one compares

On the phone

Late at night

Sketching as we spoke

Slightly bored and unamused

Sat a boy

Borrowing words

Making flattery his scythe

No one compares to you
