Richard Luna serves realness on Hart Tennis

Richard Luna is a sophomore at Hart High School. This year has brought forth many new endeavors regarding his favorite hobbies. Luna plays for Hart’s JV tennis team, he practices every chance he gets at school and enjoys taking advice from his teammates. Luna claims that chemistry between him and his teammates has motivated him to continue playing throughout the season.

“The aspect I find most appealing would have to be the chemistry between teammates and opponents, being able to just have fun during games and enjoy a mutually loved game. It motivates me to stay in the sport and better myself at it,” Luna said.

Aside from tennis, Luna also takes time out of his day to record and edit YouTube content for his channel, using the alias “Sly” for his channel name. His caters towards the gaming genre. Despite being a rather long and tedious hobby, Luna has gotten so much fun out of it that it does not phase him negatively.

“The enjoyment I get out of content creation is being able to be put on in the background or being able to be watched without needing the viewers’ undivided attention … I’d think my videos should be like the kind you watch while eating,” Luna said.

Content creation for Luna is his favorite hobby, among other things—it has kept him busy on days when there is nothing to do. To him the satisfaction of being able to entertain an audience is everything, along with tennis, even if it means that he needs to sacrifice the rest of his free time.
