March 17, 2024 King Charles III was found dead in his room in Buckingham Palace by his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. For days the Royal Family refused to make a statement on his death, denying it and in turn fueling the rumors of what happened to his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton. 

Days after his death, Parker Bowles was seen on a double date with British singer Harry styles and the Obamas at The Ledbury, a restaurant in London. Paparazzi were waiting outside trying to get a picture of the couple and ask questions about Kate’s disappearance and her moving on too quickly. Both couples said no comment and rushed to their cars. 

March 22, Kate Middleton announced that she was undergoing chemotherapy and that was the reason for her absence. That same day Parker Bowles and Styles were seen at the London Zoo holding hands and being very affectionate with each other. This second sighting fueled dating rumors between the two of them, even though her husband of 18 years had just passed away. These rumors are also going strong because in the past Styles has dated older women, but people are wondering what happened to Taylor Russell, Styles’ rumored girlfriend, as neither have confirmed the relationship. 

The supposed couple has sparked many conspiracy theories on the internet about the relationship between Parker Bowles and her late husband. Many users on X, formally Twitter, have thought that the relationship between the late king and his wife was not at all what it seems. Some theorize that maybe even Parker Bowles or her relationship with Styles was the cause for his death, not natural causes. Others have thought that she had been waiting for him to die so she could be seen in public with her lover. However, the majority of the internet thinks that his death is untimely and shocking, as he has only been king since his mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s, death in late 2022 and his coronation in early May 2023. 

King Charles III lived to be 75 years old and many world leaders have wished the Royal Family love and safety after this shocking and difficult time for them. People from around the world are mourning this loss.
