Hart Cheer’s competition team performed in Irvine, California this January and received second place.
For regional competitions such as this leading up to Nationals, the team can receive a bid to attend UCA’s National High School Cheer leading Competition. A bid is an offer or invitation, usually extended at the end of the season, which they did acquire.
“This competition allowed us to improve our routine before we head to Nationals in Orlando, Florida,” shared senior Co-captain Arianna Barragan. “These next few weeks will be very challenging in the best way, as we just try to perfect our routine and make it the best it can possibly be.”
Through their competition season so far, the hard work and dedication the girls have put in leading up to this time of year is showcased. Revisions to their stunts and other parts of their routine will be applied as needed throughout their upcoming practices so they can head into their national competition with their best foot forward.
As basketball season is ongoing—for both girls and boys—the JV and varsity sideline cheer teams continue to show up and support the players.
Baseball will be holding an alumni game February 4th, and all the cheer captains report they will be in attendance to represent Hart Cheer.
