When attending a Hart Show Choir costume department meeting, there are a number of typical things one can expect to encounter. The organized chaos of the costume office, the whir of sewing machines, the rolling of costume racks and the low chatter of busy workers. But in a quiet corner of the classroom, working diligently on her newest project, is Talia “Moth” Einaudi.
Einaudi is an active member of Hart Show Choir and is a member of the Advanced Treble Choir, Hartbreakers. She is someone that many of her fellow choir members can look up to, and is a stand-out dancer as well as an integral part of the Hart Show Choir costume crew.
“Show Choir and Costume Crew have really helped me hone in on what I really love to do,” says Einaudi in an interview. “I donate a lot of time in Costume Crew, I’m there basically for any and every meeting.”
Einaudi is the co-leader of the Novice Mixed Choir, Hart N’ Soul’s, costume department. She directs the creating and crafting of the costumes and props, and ensures that everything is being made efficiently and with high quality.
“[Einaudi] has the most hours out of anyone in Costume Crew,” says Susia Ruddell, the head of the costume department for Hart Show Choir. “She is definitely the most dedicated, and she is really good at taking clear directions… [Einaudi] clearly loves the energy of Costume Crew and she’s one of my favorite people to work with.”
Einaudi also devotes much of her time on her own projects. She enjoys drawing and making personally-made gifts for her friends.
“For personal projects I can spend up to three days just fiddling and working,” says Einaudi. “In the end it really creates something that is very close to my heart and helps me be very proud of all of my work.”
Einaudi’s strong work ethic and dedication to crafting is what sets her apart from her fellow artists and performers. Her intricate and excellently-made projects and talent in Hart Show Choir are clear evidence of her hard work.
