Gyromania, located at both 25884 The Old Rd and 20655 Soledad Canyon Rd is a family-owned and run restaurant/catering company. The current owner here is Kyriakos Champi, their restaurant was ranked 4th best restaurant by Yelp, the secret is hospitality.

When you first walk into the restaurant you are hit with the smell of garlic and the sound of sizzling meat. All the staff that are working shout “OPA!” which is an expression of happiness that you have chosen this place to eat. This expression is generally used in Greek culture, when inviting guests into their homes.

To order the food you walk up to the display case. Once there you can see all the ingredients that will be put into the wrap or bowl you have ordered.

Most of the menu items can be turned into a wrap or a bowl. They offer a wide variety of meats from American cuisine like lamb, chicken, and pork. As well as offering meats from Greek cuisine like chicken souvlaki, pork souvlaki, and Cyprus sausage.

They cook the pita bread in front of you, you can see the meat turning on a cooking spoke. The turning spoke is where they shred off the meat to put into your meal.

Homemade tzatziki sauce among many other sauces like the garlic spread which is the source of the garlic smell, spicy feta sauce made with feta cheese and roasted red peppers, OMG sauce made with jalapenos and olive oil.

Homemade Baklava which is a type of Greek phyllo dough topped with a cinnamon sugar glaze and  Loukoumades which is a type of Greek donut.

All the food that is sold here is a way to capture the authentic taste of Greek cuisine. There are also some menu options that are from American cuisine that have Gyromania’s own spin on it like the Gyromania Fries.

The owner and staff of Gyromania are extremely nice and will give recommendations for what to eat. They are also supportive of most dietary needs being keto, paleo, gluten free, and more.

Gyromania is a great place to go to and there is more information on their website and social media pages for anyone who is interested.
