“A House with Good Bones” book review

With 2023 more than half-way finished, many people (including myself) are behind on their 2023 reading goals. One book that automatically made its way to my to-read list as soon as I saw it was A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher. A House with Good Bones has also made it onto Barnes and Nobles’  “Best Books of 2023 (So far)” list and deserves its spot. Thankfully, the novel is about 250 pages, making it easy to fit into almost all busy schedules that you might have.

As soon as I started reading this book, I got hooked. The first chapter already brings a feel that something is wrong with the house, and something’s different and you want to know why. Being able to get hooked on a book is hard for me, so the fact that this book made it easy to try and figure out what happens, has brought it’s way up the list of the many thriller mystery books I have read. Along with the incredible opening chapters, Kingfisher’s descriptive word telling makes it feel like you are actually in the story.

This whole book is an overall great book to read if you are behind on your 2023 reading goals. I stayed up past midnight on multiple nights dying to see what happens next. Once that happens, I always have to recommend the book. Making A House with Good Bones a must have on your 2023 catch-up reading list or any reading list in general.
