The art of today’s generation is complex and deeply fascinating, and nowhere is it more prevalent than in Hart High School’s Angie Regino. Regino is a junior at Hart High with incredible artistic abilities, and is already leaving her mark on Hart High School.
Regino is currently enrolled in Hart’s AP Studio Art class, and finds the class to be a center of inspiration for her artistic lifestyle.
“You have all other artists among you that can inspire you,” Regino said.
The AP exam for the class requires 15 portfolios based on your inquiry, which Regino explains means what your art is questioning or explaining. Regino’s inquiry is love, with which she is currently working on art pieces that explore this topic.
Angie’s love for art started at a very young age, and has grown into a daily part of her life. If she is supposed to be taking notes in class, she catches herself doodling on her pages, as she says artistic inspiration can come at any time.
“Art is something you can see everywhere. Let’s say, somewhere in the forest, you find a nice view of scenery-that’s art,” Regino said.
Regino is more of a traditional artist, with her artistic style of choice being painting. One of her favorite things about art is seeing how much her artistic abilities have grown throughout the years.
“Looking back now at my old art pieces, my art used to be weird. Looking at my art pieces now, I just love them,” Regino said.
The biggest takeaway Regino has gotten from art is that creativity is a mindset. She finds that everything you see in life is and can be art and to never take that for granted. “Art doesn’t have to be something so complicated-art can be something so simple,” Regino said.
Angie Regino’s ability to see creativity among everything is a gift, one which she uses to her full advantage. With her talent and innovation, it is for certain that Angie will achieve great things in the world of art.
