Hart clubs finish the year strong

As the school year comes to a close, various clubs at Hart are wrapping up their activities. Final club meetings and events are taking place on and off campus, and many clubs have ramped up productivity to finish off the year.

Girls Who Code concluded their meetings in March, but their final activity of the year was hosting a book drive for the Newhall Library, according to their club advisor, Ms. Armour. Girls Who Code was created as a space for students, especially girls, to practice their coding skills and provide support for women in STEM, and it has evolved into more through its contributions to the community as a whole.

Hart’s newest clubs that were created this year, also saw success in the final weeks of meetings. Clubs such as Editing Club, E-Sports Club, Star Wars Club, Filipino By Association and Amigos Unidos Latinos are closing out their founding year.

Other clubs are also looking at change as the year ends. Many senior club leaders are handing off their positions to other club members to ensure the continuation of their clubs after their departure from Hart.
