Hart hosts UCLA Blood Drive

The UCLA Blood Drive was hosted by Hart on February 9  from 8am-1pm. It was held at the small gym at the center of the school with students being able to have their blood donated at either their brunch or lunch.

Donors had to be sixteen or older, with donors younger than eighteen needing parent permission.

Blood drives themselves are used in order to help patients going through surgery, organ transplants and other medical emergencies. These drives help get a large number of different types of blood in order to help the most people possible.

The event was hosted by the UCLA Blood and Platelet Center and would gift donors with a Starbucks or In-n-Out gift card and a movie ticket. The center often has blood drives in order to help patients during times of need. They also have many different types of outreach on their website.
