Girls Who Code focuses on empowering girls through technology

Girls Who Code is a club at Hart working on improving the world with their own technological skills, specifically coding. Their main goal is for the girls to work on their coding and better themselves while building a community project through their own abilities and strengths.

Every year, members of Girls Who Code create a coding project. The project the girls are currently working on is a digital picture book, that they will create for a website, to help other students learn about different subjects. As the club continues add to their website, the girls also come together and discuss upcoming opportunities, like internships or mentorship programs to help others who are interested in coding. They also prioritize exploring and learning more about the many different women in computer science that inspire and motivate them daily. The website the girls are creating should be done and working by the end of the year.
