In another very close match, Spain’s Ayingono delivered the first goal in minute 81 of the game (with only about 10 minutes remaining). However, in the minute 88, Sweden evened the playing field, with Rebecca Blomqvist tying the game. Very soon after, with seconds left to spare, Olga Carmona of Spain delivered the game-winning goal in minute 89.
The championship match took place on August 20: Spain versus England. Both teams were evenly matched, with the score differential only being one.
