Boys’ volleyball has come roaring out of the gate, starting the new season undefeated in league. As of March 20, they have beaten Saugus, Golden Valley, Notre Dame and Chatsworth. Their game versus Golden Valley went the distance, with all five sets being incredibly close affairs. 

The team, composed almost entirely of seniors, has hefty ambitions, hoping to take league in dominant fashion before setting their sights on CIF. The varsity team this year includes multiple D1 commits such as Owen Douphner and Hank Kaufman.

They already have silverware to show for their efforts, taking home the Varsity First Serve Tournament at Crescenta Valley without dropping a game to open the season.

“On and off the court we support each other, and give it our all,” said senior Maxx Merlo. “We are going to bring the league title back to Hart High.”
