Hart’s sleeping team sweeps the competition

March 30, 2022 the Hart High School’s Competitive Sleeping team won first place in their competition, which was held here at Hart High School during the seventh period. The competition consisted of four categories: who can sleep the longest, who can sleep through the most noise, who can sleep in the most uncomfortable position and who can sleep through the most important information. Team President Izzy Schrack won first place in both the “who can sleep the longest” category and the “who can sleep through the most noise” category. Meanwhile, Vice President Dani Pacheco won in the “who can sleep in the most uncomfortable position” category and the “who can sleep through the most important information” category.

The judges for this competition were Mike Lindell, the owner and creator of MyPillow, Shelly Lbach, the CEO of Sleep Number and Disney’s, Sleepy the Dwarf. All three of the judges were chosen for their extensive knowledge of sleeping and their accomplishments in that field.

The team is scheduled to compete in their next competition on April 27, 2022 at 8:00 in the evening at West Ranch High School. The team is then scheduled to compete at a tournament in Florida starting May 4, 2022.

“We have a really great team this year. With over 90 students on the team we have a wide range of talent that we hope to showcase in our upcoming competitions,” said Pacheco during an interview after the team’s win.
