Vaccinations Protect Society

A responsible parent should always want to do everything in their power to make sure their kid is safe and healthy. Vaccinations are the best way to ensure that. It is scientifically proven that vaccinations protect both children and adults from serious and preventable illnesses and diseases.

Whooping cough, measles and chickenpox, just to name a few, can still be life threatening to people who don’t have immunity through the power of modern day medicine. These diseases that once injured or killed thousands of people have been totally eliminated or significantly reduced due mostly to safe and effective vaccines.

Many preventable diseases continue to infect children whose parents did not get them vaccinated. Not only is this extremely dangerous for that child, but it also puts others at risk. And, of course, outbreaks of infectious illnesses are not to be taken lightly. We can see that with our modern day pandemic.

Even with all the scientific research and medical professionals that ensure they are safe, some people are still opposed to vaccines because they believe they cause physical and mental abnormalities. However, the risk of a vaccine causing serious harm or death is extremely small. These anti-vaxxers not only put themselves in harm’s way, but also their children, who have no say in whether or not they are vaccinated.

Millions of children die each year from not being properly protected. All adults, parents or not, should take the time to do the proper research on vaccines before they decide whether or not to use vaccines.

When it comes to people’s health, vaccines are extremely beneficial and should continue to be used. Hopefully, the bad stigma surrounding vaccines can be broken down in the near future with the help of more medical analysis.
