Selena Gomez’s new album Rare is a great album and has drawn a lot of attention back to her after she took a break. The last album she put out was Revival. It was released in 2015. This new album really shows us Gomez’s style as an artist with its laid back and confident sound.

One of the things that really stood out to me when listening to this album is the way it flowed. The different sounds and topics in her songs complement each other nicely and made it easy to listen to.

The first half of the songs seemed to be more of dance songs made for the radio while still having meaning and the confident sound that Gomez has discovered with this album. The second half of the songs seemed to have a deeper meaning than the previous songs and a bigger emphasis on the lyrics compared to the beat. 

Another great element of this album is the production that went into it. You can tell by the way that the songs flow and sound that there was a lot of effort put into making this a great album. 

This is one of the best pop albums I have heard in a long time. Gomez’s album is meant to catch the attention of everyone who hears it and to show how she has grown as an artist. She has reached, if not surpassed, fan expectation. Gomez has made so many more memorable songs to add to her collection. Rare is definitely an album I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of great pop music.
